I've decided that I need to keep a better record of my children's lives otherwise they will be all grown up before I blink. So, we have started this blog "My Sweet Cacoozies". So, what is a "Cacoozie"? Well, this is a term that Michael used a couple of days ago to describe the stage when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and it stuck. So, welcome to My Sweet Cacoozies!

She's Become So OLD!!!

So, it was her birthday yesterday. She get's a party every year at school because her birthday happens to be on Dr. Seuss's Birthday. Only this year she was bummed because the kids in her class did not behave so they didn't get to wear pajamas to school like they usually do.

Here is the birthday girl . . . she is 9 and she is holding a piece of ribbon across her chin to cover up her first zit :)

When we first got home she opened up Uncle Brandon and Aunt Audrey's Present, which she completely LOVES. It was hard to take a picture of but it is a night light that casts a rainbow across the room.

This year I let her invite three friends to dinner and the movies instead of getting her a present. Here is a picture of the invitations.

Yes, I know I'm a great photographer. I love my life and that I always have such grand ideas and plans in my mind, but then the facts of my real life set in and we always end up with a scaled down version of the plan in my brain. It is a good thing no one else knows all the plans I've had over the years that never materialized :)

One example of the failers that seem to always occure in my life is this picture:

I'd planned on doing a little decorating for the event, pulled out the helium tank (yes, I'm crazy like that and own a commercial helium tank?), and went to fill up some baloons and got one measly 1/3 of a balloon that wouldn't even float out of the thing. Luckily, my daughter is smarter than me and showed me that I was using it wrong and we were able to fill up a bunch of balloons.

First, we met at IHOP where they were had a special "Dr. Seuss - The Lorax Menu". Everything on that "special" menu looked really discusting, but we had fun anyway. Here is the little one decorating the table.

Here is the table filled with all her friends.

Then we headed off to see "The Lorax" movie. This is them standing in front of the sign at the theater.

And here are the kids getting ready for the movie to start.

All and all everyone had a great time, even if the day didn't go "exactly" as I had planned it in my mind :)
