I've decided that I need to keep a better record of my children's lives otherwise they will be all grown up before I blink. So, we have started this blog "My Sweet Cacoozies". So, what is a "Cacoozie"? Well, this is a term that Michael used a couple of days ago to describe the stage when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and it stuck. So, welcome to My Sweet Cacoozies!

A Great Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was Great this year. We had all of the kids from Wednesday Night until Monday morning. Below is a picture of our Thanksgiving spread.
The green things were rolls. While I was cooking the food coloring just kept "talking" to me and eventually I had to give in and add a little to the bread dough.

Here are the girls

And the Adults (Ken has grown his facial hair out for No Shave November)

And the Boys (Zach also "tried" to grow his facial hair out).

As soon as dinner was over it was time to break out the Christmas Decorations and introduce our signature celebrity "Zachy Claus", but we didn't make it very far before we started in on our Harry Potter Movie Marathon.

Friday I took Jessica, Jaelynn, and Emily 'Black Friday' shopping, we cleaned the house some, continued our Harry Potter marathon, and decorated some more. As we have no mantle we hung our stockings from the chandelier (because the whole world revolves around me!)

Then we headed to the new mall for a tree lighting ceremony. It was the worst planned event that I've been to in a long time. Of the more than 500 people there only about 200 of them could see anything. They needed a stage or projection screens??? We ended up leaving and going home for ice cream and a more Harry Potter.

Saturday we hung around the house and decorated some more. The boys put up the outside Christmas Lights. It was great. That is the first time in my adult life I didn't have to help!! We also fed the missionaries homemade calzones. I don't think they knew anything about our family BEFORE they came over. I think it was an eye opening experience for them.

All and all we had a great time just spending time as a family. We all have so much to be thankful for.
