I've decided that I need to keep a better record of my children's lives otherwise they will be all grown up before I blink. So, we have started this blog "My Sweet Cacoozies". So, what is a "Cacoozie"? Well, this is a term that Michael used a couple of days ago to describe the stage when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and it stuck. So, welcome to My Sweet Cacoozies!

Kenny

So . . . my son insists on wearing a jacket in Southern California even when it is 90 degrees outside. And, when he wears his jacket he puts the hood up and zips it . . . always. The jacket he happens to have right now is a bright orange color and as I was standing behind him watching him I didn't see my little kid instead I saw Kenny from South Park. So, I started calling him Kenny whenever he had his jacket on. This has been going on for about a month and he answers to the name and never seems to complain.

Well, yesterday Todd offered to help and gave Michael a hair cut . . . but he cut all of Michael's hair REALLY short. So, I started calling him Chemo (short for cancer boy) . . . but low and behold, Michael would not let me call him Chemo instead he says. "My name is Kenny". I love little kids.

5/18/10 Update: Ha ha my son has now officially changed his name to Kenny Nubbs Meyers and he will correct you if you call him by any other name including Michael.

5/18/10 Update: Julie said it was offensive to call someone with really short hair Chemo (of course, Todd had already told me that) which is why I told Todd that I was calling him Kemo (short for Kemosabi which I probably spelled wrong) which is a term of endearment . . . Please excuse my heartless misquote/misspelling above . . . But just for the record, if I ever get cancer and lose all of my hair I won't be offended if you call me Chemo.

  1. I love little kids too. That seed story still has me giggling. And it's amazing to think that Ashley let me call her "fart" for years as a nickname.
