Kids and their field trips. What more is there to say. I admit I'm a little bit of an over protective parent, so my kids don't go on field trips unless I go to. This year, Emily's school took the 2nd graders to Knott's Berry Farm. It was actually a really good field trip. I was surprised. Emily took the photos so . . . well, actually, that means they are better than they would have been if I had taken them :). It is interesting to see the world through a kids eyes.

This is a picture I tried to take of Emily while we were waiting for the bus. One day when she complains there are no pictures of her and I'll show her this one and tell her this is why.

Emily returned the favor and took a picture of me . . . aren't I beautiful? Well, at least my skin is clear and it looks like I'm going to have to find some new sunglasses.

And this must be the boy she likes (the one in red) because there are three separate pictures of him at different times during the day. I'll have to ask her about that later.
The field trip centered on "What Life Used to Be Like". They had one lady who talked about old fashioned toys.

A guy who talked about being a blacksmith.

And a lady who showed them how to make candles.

But . . . alas the kids really only had hopes and dreams of riding the rides. Good think they did let them ride one ride for free :)
