I've decided that I need to keep a better record of my children's lives otherwise they will be all grown up before I blink. So, we have started this blog "My Sweet Cacoozies". So, what is a "Cacoozie"? Well, this is a term that Michael used a couple of days ago to describe the stage when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and it stuck. So, welcome to My Sweet Cacoozies!

Summer Fun . . . a little late

I have a new sign that hangs in my kitchen that say "I'm so far behind I thought I was first". That is the story of my life and fitting for this post that has some pictures from this summer that I was just a little late in getting around to post.

I took a weekend trip to Las Vegas to see my parents, grandparents, and brother's family and the highlights of the trip were:

#1 - My Mom and Grandma went to a mid-evil fair?

#2 - I got my Mom to gamble!

The kids went to a birthday party for one of their daycare friends:

Emily and her friend

Michael and his little buddies.

an example of Mom's saying . . . 1 boy = 1 brain . . . 2 boys = 1/2 of a brain . . . 3 boys = no brain. The boys got a bottle stuck in the fencing for the baseball diamond and decided to beat the fence with a bat and throw balls at the bottle (while they stood right under the ball).

We tried out the new community water park. It was super cheap and super fun. This will become a staple for any visitors during the summer.

We did the FREE craft at Home Depot

Yes, Michael ALWAYS sticks out his tongue when he works!

Emily had her first day of 3rd grade. Michael was really excited about getting his picture taken.

We took a summer trip to Grandma's cabin at Zions and . . .

#3 - I totally ran out of gas on the way to Vegas because I wasn't paying attention to the dashboard :0

We stopped by the St. George Temple with the kids. On the way up I did some sealings with Grandma and Grandpa.

Mom got a cupcake craving and drove all the way up to Rancho to get one and THEY WERE SOLD OUT. So, I let the kids ride the merry-go-round as a consolation prize. But, I swear they pump some sort of addictive substance out of those cupcake places. Who in their right mind would pay $5 for a cupcake . . . me, and the next day, I skipped a little work to go get the cupcake I missed out on the day before. I tell you they are addicting!

We went to John's Pizza with their favorite friend Lily and Angie!

We took a picture of Michael in all of his COOLNESS!! I love that his sister tried to ruin his COOL.

Emily and "her" COOLNESS. She thinks she is a teenager :)

Emily made a lovely hat at summer daycare.

We went to the beach.

Michael took a crazy round of pictures at Daycare???

I finally got Emily to take a picture in front of the school mural.

And now I'm tired just thinking about all of the fun we had.
