#1 and #2 thought the guts were gross . . . but, #1 finally went and got the kitchen gloves and was able to clean out her own pumpkin once she had the gloves on.

#2 whined and fussed a lot, but was able to clean his pumpkin out after #1 let him have the gloves. Then he decided not to cut his pumpkin and to draw on it instead with a permanent marker.

Of course, then he was made when his pumpkin didn't light up!! My pumpkin is the one on the right. It is the best huh!!
Saturday we cleaned up the house and then headed to Orange County to the Zoo. Little did we know it was the busiest day of the entire year, but we had fun doing a scavenger hunt, collecting candy and toys and petting the animals.

They even talked me into renting one of the bike things . . . at least I got my exercise for the day.

Once we got home we had our friend over to play. This is #1 and her friend practicing their make-up skills. #2 knocked a chair over on his forehead and had to take a nap in order to recover so he didn't get to play make-up (that is probably a good thing).

While the kids played I made an apple pie and then we headed off to the ward trunk-o-treat. This was the first year I didn't have to help and just got to play. That was nice.
Emily and her friends in the "balloon room"
Sunday we went to Church and then trick-o-treated the relatives' houses.
Monday, #1 informed me that I needed to take the day off and spend the whole thing with her. We got up, went to school, did a parade, helped the teacher with some crafts, and set-up for the party. Then it was recess time and I got sent home by the teacher :().
Here is a picture of #1's class.
I picked the kids up and we headed to the movies and then over to the Anderson's for Trick-o-Treating. It was a good Halloween!!
