I've decided that I need to keep a better record of my children's lives otherwise they will be all grown up before I blink. So, we have started this blog "My Sweet Cacoozies". So, what is a "Cacoozie"? Well, this is a term that Michael used a couple of days ago to describe the stage when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and it stuck. So, welcome to My Sweet Cacoozies!

Christmas

We had a enjoyable, but unexpected Christmas. Because Todd had to work the both Christmas and New Years and we expected it to be me home alone with the kids. In reality . . .

My Mom called on the 18th and said they had gotten bored in the great white north and “found really cheap airline tickets”, so they were coming to visit on the 23rd. We had a good time with them and pretended that Tuesday night was really Christmas Eve, got up early . . . opened presents before Todd left for work, and hung out at the house for a while. Then we took my mom, dad, and Ashley to CHUCK E. CHEESE. My mom had never been. Lucky for them it was a week day and there were only about 20 people in the place including our group.

By that time everything was closing for the "real" Christmas Eve and we headed home for the evening. My parents left later the next morning.

On Friday, Jenny and her two kids came to visit us. They stayed and played the afternoon AND THEN . . . we decided to take the kids to play miniature golf. It was the most entertaining thing I've done in a long time.

Here is the group getting ready to start.

Noah for the power shot.

Emily hits the power shot (and almost her brother).

. . . and everyone congratulates themselves for a hole well played.

Michael sets up for the power shot . . .

But decides to follow his sister instead . . . that was the last of Mikey and the club.

Riding the Horse.

Hey . . . what's everyone doing up by the house?

Ohhhh!

. . . and if there's not a house, you just pick-up the ball and throw it down the hole (as pointed out by Mikey)

And then it you wait for it to come out the other end (hope it doesn't poke his eye out)

More Riding the Horse.

And after a hard day on the range, it's snack time.

All and all it was a pretty great Christmas.
