I've decided that I need to keep a better record of my children's lives otherwise they will be all grown up before I blink. So, we have started this blog "My Sweet Cacoozies". So, what is a "Cacoozie"? Well, this is a term that Michael used a couple of days ago to describe the stage when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly and it stuck. So, welcome to My Sweet Cacoozies!

My Trip To Vegas

Because Todd had to work the rest of the weekend too . . . I packed up the kids and we headed to Las Vegas on New Year's Day. On the way we stopped and Bob's Big Boy for lunch in Baker. It was pretty good. Then we spent the evening visiting my grandparents.

As mentioned previously, my family gets up insanely early. So, we had a lovely continental breakfast at the hotel at 6:00 am and then headed to supposedly one of the largest parks in Vegas. It was fun and they had a "sponsored" christmas light show. The kids played and chased the ducks before we headed back to grandma's for a couple of more hours.

On the way home though, the kids and I stopped at CALICO . . . I've tried to get Todd to stop there many times, but he always rejected me. I did text him to let him know he was missing out. Below are some pictures of our adventure.

The obligatory entrance gate photo.

Getting ready for the train ride.

All and all it for the $3 entrance fee, the $6 train ride, and the $2 coloring exercise, I'd recommend the trip. I had a good time with the kids. It is definitely cheesy, but it was cheap way to stretch our legs and keep everyone entertained for 3 hours. Emily did return home with a lovely sliver in her hand that she won't let me take out.
